Tips for study trips with hotel visits
Yay! You get to go on a study trip! This is always great, and the warmer and sunnier the destination, the better. Of course, this doesn't just mean enjoying wine and sunbathing. On the contrary, you'll be lucky if you have a little bit of time left for that. A study trip means going out with a fun group, but also long days filled with hotel visits. And... how do you keep all those hotels straight?
If you're going to a destination you know inside and out and frequently see the hotels on the website, it's manageable, and you usually remember which hotels you've visited.
It becomes really challenging when you work with many different destinations and go to a place you're not very familiar with. Try recalling where you've been at the end of the trip. It's almost impossible, so I'm giving you my remember-all-the-hotels tips!
Check the hotels on the website
Very logical, of course! But take the time to look at all the hotels online. On the website where you work, but also try to schedule some time to click on the hotel's website.
You can see the beautiful Isla de Benidorm from all hotels along the coast, so you can't use it as a memory tip.
A look at maps
Check maps beforehand to see exactly where you're going. Often, you travel by bus past the hotels, and it seems like some hotels are far apart because the bus has to detour. It's a shame if you find out later that you visited the hotel right next to where you were staying the whole trip. Maybe you'll find it enjoyable to occasionally check maps on the day itself.

Have a chat
Try, when you're with a large group, to always walk a bit ahead and see if you can ask the sales manager a personal question in between. If you're lucky, this ends in a pleasant chat.
Something funny
Sometimes something happens that helps you remember the hotel. A long time ago, there was a manager who had one too many drinks during lunch, making the whole elevator smell of alcohol. You won't forget that hotel visit.

Photos and videos of hotels
As soon as you arrive, take a photo of the hotel's name. Then you'll know exactly where it was when you look back at the photos at home. A video is always fun too; you can immediately brighten up your TikTok account at home!
Don't wait too long!
When you return from the study trip, there will be a lot of work waiting for you, and you'll have almost no time for your notes. Still, don't wait too long to look back at where you've been. Otherwise, you might forget everything, and the whole trip was just for fun.;-)
